Social Welfare Department to create awareness on Freeship Card

Social Welfare Department, which has invited online applications from the eligible post-matric students for availing student scholarship for the year 2021-22, has organised a Student Scholarship Abhiyaan to create awareness on ‘Freeship Card.’ The last date for submission of applications is Nov. 17. Freeship Cards are basically an e-authentication that the students can show in Colleges during the admission process as proof of eligibility for the Scholarship.

Students may register for Freeship Card in the Scholarship portal of the Department. After applying online, students are required to download the filled in forms and submit it to their College during admission.

The scholarship beneficiaries should compulsorily visit a bank, link their Aadhaar number to NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) and seed the Aadhaar number with their bank account.  For more information, visit Office of the Assistant Director, Social Welfare Department, Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan, Adi Pampa Road, Vontikoppal or contact Ph: 0821-2520910.
