Sofia Begum (68), mother of Ilyaz Ahmed, President of Mysore (Dist.) BJP Minority Morcha and ex-Chairman of Mysore (Dist.) Waqf Board Advisory Committee, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Mysuru due to brief illness. She leaves behind her son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Namaz-e-Janaza was performed at Jamiya Masjid Hurahalavi in Nanjangud town after Zohar followed by burial at Hurahalavi Muslim Burial Grounds.
