New Delhi: Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here on Wednesday, a statement said.
“Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson, UPA, has been admitted to our hospital today. She has been admitted in the Department of Chest Medicine under the care of Dr. Arup Basu and his team,” Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Board of Management), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said.
She has been admitted for observation and treatment of a viral respiratory infection, Dr. Swaroop added.
Meanwhile, former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah wished speedy recovery to the former Party Chief.
