Mysuru: Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan has selected Dr. T.V. Kattimani, Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Madhya Pradesh, for ‘Souharda Sanman’ award.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs.2 lakh and a citation.
The award is in recognition of Dr. Kattimani’s contribution to Hindi literature and higher education.
Kattimani is also a good writer and critic in Kannada with over 30 books to his credit and has won several State and National awards.
He was instrumental in the evolution of IGNTU with staff and faculty drawn from 27 States providing Graduation, Post-Graduation and Research facilities.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will confer the award on Kattimani at a function to be held at Lucknow by September end.
