Mysuru: International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on 3rd of December every year, in order to promote the awareness about the people with disabilities as well as to encourage them by implementing a lot of assistance in their real life to enhance their way of life and remove the social stigma towards them. The theme for 2017 International Day of People with Disabilities is ‘Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all.’
To mark the occasion and to celebrate ‘abilities of Special children,’ Sneha Kiran of Mysore Spastic Society, in collaborated with Rotary Mysore, has organised entertainment programme ‘Dashavataram,’ a dance drama by Special Children of Sneha Kiran along with the students of Shri Ganesha Sangeetha Nrityalaya, Mysuru, on Dec.3 (Sunday) at Sri Kanteerava Narasimharaja Sports Club in city at 6 pm. Choreography and Direction for the dance-drama is by Natya Vidushi Arathi Arun followed by melodious tunes by JB Musicals.
Sneha Kiran of Mysore Spastic Society is a non-profit organisation established in 2002 by a group of philanthropists, professionals, volunteers and parents of children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) with the objective to cater to the myriad needs of children with Cerebral Palsy.
