A special lecture on ‘Sustainability and Risk Management’ was organised at JSS Centre for Management Studies, SJCE campus, in city recently.
Prof. Arun Kumar, Professor, National University in San Diego, California, who delivered the special lecture, discussed the importance of sustainability in development to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the needs of future generation.
The speaker, who covered major aspects of sustainability such as equity, economy and environment and drivers of sustainability, pointed out that corporates were seeing this as an opportunity and working on the sustainable business solutions. He also covered Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and its components such as inventory analysis, impact analysis and improvement analysis besides discussing on Economic-Input-Output Lifecycle Analysis (EIOLCA), an emerging new trend.
Dr. P. Nagesh, HoD of JSSCMS and B.S. Sharath, Asst. Professor, coordinated the prog. Dr. B.G. Sangameshwara, VC, JSS Science and Technology University, guided the series of expert lecture programme.
