Mysore/Mysuru: Veteran leader and Chamarajanagar MP V. Sreenivasa Prasad will be completing 50 years in politics in March and to make it memorable, a grand ceremony is planned on Mar. 17 at the Convocation Hall of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in the city. This was decided at a preliminary meeting of dignitaries and leaders convened at the guest house of KSOU on Tuesday.
V. Sreenivasa Prasad Suvarna Mahotsava Abhinandana Samiti has been formed for the purpose under the banner of which various programmes will be organised.
During the meeting held in the presence of Sreenivasa Prasad, dignitaries like Kalyanasiri Bhanteji, senior Congress leader P.G.R. Sindhia, former MLA Vasu, former Chairmen of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Mohan Kumar and C. Basavegowda, writer Dr. Pradhan Gurudutta, Padmanabha Rao of Nanjangud, S.R. Sudarshan, Dr. Shivarajappa, Prof.N. Girigowda and others aired their opinions about organising the ceremony.
It was decided to invite former Chief Ministers Dr. M. Veerappa Moily and S.M. Krishna, former Speaker of Legislative Assembly Kagodu Thimmappa and the contemporaries of V. Sreenivasa Prasad.
On the occasion, the biography of Sreenivasa Prasad with Pradhan Gurudatta as Chief Editor and Prof. Nilagiri M. Talwar as Editor will also be released.
