Mysore/Mysuru: As a part of the 82nd birthday celebrations of Sri Avadhoota Datta Peetham Pontiff Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, necessary equipment was given to specially-abled persons at a function held at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram’s Nada Mantap on Nanjangud Road in city, yesterday.
Sri Ganapathy Swamiji distributed 82 equipment including 40 wheelchairs, 8 walkers,10 crutches and 5 sticks to the specially-abled persons.
Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji said that it is a sacred job to do anything for the welfare of the specially- abled. May God enable the parents of the specially-abled persons to take proper care of their children. God bless the specially-abled children with good health and happiness. May God bless everyone,” said the Swamiji in his address.
Several rituals like Sri Chakra puja and homas were performed at Datta Peetham to mark the 26th anniversary of Nada Mantap and the 82nd birthday celebrations of Sri Ganapathy Swamiji.
Later, pujas were offered to all the idols at the Ashram’s premises including that of Goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari Devi. Swamiji also participated in the homa performed in the precincts of God Sri Hari temple.
Earlier volunteers of Datta Human Services presented a Guard of Honour to Sri Ganapathy Swamiji. Ritual Shanti Kalyana of Sri Datta Venkateshwara Swamy was performed for the welfare of mankind.
Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji was also present.
