Sri Purandara and Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana: Week-long music concerts by promising young talents

Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be observing Sri Purandara and Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana and the 35th annual day of the Sabha on Feb.12 (Sunday) at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa, V.V. Mohalla, from 7 am to 1.30 pm. 

As part of the above, a series of week-long music concerts by promising young talents of Mysuru will be held in various parts of the city from Feb.5 to 11 from 6 pm to 7.15 pm and 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm every day.

Feb. 5 (Sunday): Vocal concert by Vids. S. Chaitrika  and Haridasan at Alwar Kala Bhavan, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Gokulam 3rd Stage.

Feb. 6 (Monday): Vocal concert by Vids. R. Nithyashree and S.M. Shridevi at Sri Vinayaka Temple, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage.

Feb.7 (Tuesday):  Violin duet by Vids. Mysuru Amrutavarshini Bhargava and Mysuru Vishveshvara Bhargava and vocal concert by Vibhashree at Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Srirampura.

Feb. 8 (Wednesday): Veena recital by Vids. N. Bharathi and vocal concert by M.S. Keerthana at Sri Ramamandira, Krishnamurthypuram.

Feb. 9 (Thursday): Mandolin recital by Vids. Skanda N. Shastry and vocal concert by Prithvi Bhaskar at Bidaram Krishnappa’s Sri Prasanna Seetharamamandira, N.S. Road.

Feb. 10 (Friday): Flute recital by Vids. Shrinidhi Shirur and vocal concert by Suvyakta Simha, M.S. Kaustubha, V.G. Nagaraja at Sri Ramamandira, Jayanagar.

Feb. 11 (Saturday): Veena recital by Vidu. Revathi Kamath at Sri Prasanna Parvathi Kalyana Mantapa, V.V. Mohalla.

Vids. C.V. Shruthi, Prithvi Bhaskar, Shanthakumar, Tumakur Yashaswi, Keshav Mohankumar, Amogh Nadadur, and H.S. Thandavamurthy will accompany the artistes on violin. Vids. Nandan Kashyap, Vikram Bharadwaj, Dasappa, M.S.Jayaram, G.T.Swamy, Shubhang Samaga and M.R. Manjunath will provide support on mridanga, according to a press release from Vid. H. K. Narasimhamurthy, Vice President, Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust.
