Vainika Vidwan to be feted on Mar. 5
Vainika Vidwan R.K. Raghavan will be felicitated by Kalabharathi, cultural of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Mysuru, during the Aaradhana Mahotsava of Sri Purandaradasa, Saint Thyagaraja and Sri Kanakadasa, organised at its Prof. Y. T. Thathachari auditorium on Mar. 5 at 10 am.
Ramanuja, Chairman, BVB, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest. Dr. A.V. Narasimha Murthy, Chairman of BVB, Mysuru, will preside.
On the occasion, Vidu. Dharitri Ananda Rao and team will render Saint Thyagaraja’s ‘Pancharathna Kritis’ and ‘Devaranamas.’

Vid. R.K. Raghavan is the son of great Vainik Praveen and Asthana Vidwan R.S. Keshava Murthy, who was also his Guru.
Vid. Raghavan, a MA & B.Ed degree holder, has given many Veena concerts both in India and abroad. He has earned many titles such as Vainik Ratna, Kala Tapasvi, Vainik Chatura, Vainik Brahma, Karnataka Vainika Ratna etc. He is a highly graded artiste of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan.
Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji has blessed him as ‘Asthana Vidwan’ and Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji conferred him with the title ‘Sangeetha Vidyanidhi.’
