Mysore/Mysuru: The 1061st Jayanti Mahotsava of Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi will be celebrated in a simple manner at SutturSrikshetra on Jan. 11 at 10.15 am. Suttur Seer Sri ShivarathriDeshikendraSwamiji will grace the occasion. Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa will inaugurate the event.
‘Suttur Sri ShivarathreeshwaraPanchanga,’ edited by SiddhantiDr. K.G. Puttahonnaiah and published by BharatiyaJyotirvijnanaSamshodhana Kendra, as well as the book ‘Sri SuttureshwaraShathakagalu’ written by retired lecturer of Vijayapura S.N. Simpige will be released on the occasion.
Special pujas will begin at KartruGaddige at 3 am followed by Mahamangalarathi at 6.30 am. The procession of the silver idol of AdiJagadguru will begin at 7 am.
