‘Krishnana Kare,’ a city-based organisation is conducting a mass recitation of Bhagavad Gita on Dec.18 at the premises of Maharshi Public School in city.
Addressing a press conference at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city, organisation President Ganeshrao said the programme will begin at 9.30 am on Dec.18.
A 27-feet statue of Sri Mahavishnu will be unveiled on that day. Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru,will grace the occasion, Sri Atmaniratamrita Chaitanya Swamiji of Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt, Bengaluru, Sri Muralidhara Sharma of Srishanka Spiritual Pratishthana, Maharshi Public Schools Trustee Bhavani Shankar and others will be present. Former MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev will be the main speaker. H.M. Nagarajarao Kalkatte of Chikkamagalur will be present. Over 7,000 students will be participating in the event which will be a good platform to learn Bhagavad Gita.
