Bengaluru: Even as teachers across the State strongly opposed the Education Department’s action of cutting off their summer holidays and asking them to hold remedial classes for 10th std. failed students, the School Education Department has postponed the remedial classes and SSLC Exam-2 (previously known as supplementary exam).
In an order passed on Friday, the Department said that SSLC Exam-2, which was earlier scheduled from June 7, has been postponed to June 14.
The remedial classes which were supposed to be held from May 15 to June 5 at schools across the State, has now been postponed and rescheduled to take place from May 29 to June 13.
Remedial classes are meant for failed students and for those who secured C and C+ grades in the annual SSLC exam held in March this year and want to improve their performance by appearing in SSLC-2 exam.
