Mysuru: The inmates of 43 pre-matric hostels in the district for Backward Classes students run by the Backward Classes Welfare Department have faired extremely well in the SSLC examination held during 2018-19. Out of 430 students who appeared for the examination, 408 students have passed with the hostels topping in pass percentage in the district.
The break-up of the students is 351 boys and 57 girls with two students scoring above 90%, 48 above 80%, 112 above 70% and 144 above 60% with the total pass percentage standing 94.88%.
G.S. Somashekar, District Officer of the Department, has congratulated the students and thanked all concerned for the support extended.
