This is to bring to the notice of the MCC authorities concerned and the elected representatives about the sheer neglect and pathetic condition of St. Mary’s Main Road.
This is an important connecting road used by hundreds of commuters everyday. But if any of the representatives take a walk on this road, they will be ashamed and embarrassed on seeing its present condition.
Right from the Ambedkar Circle (FTS Circle) till St. Anne’s Convent, Ganesh Nagar, the road is riddled with dozens of potholes. Moreover, there are more than a dozen unscientific road humps giving the riders a double whammy.
There are also no street lights here (surprisingly near the FTS Power Station that is under CESC). The rains add to the misery of the people where water is logged and stagnant in the potholes and unfinished dug up roads putting more risk to people’s lives. Not only this road, there are many more such in NR Constituency that need immediate attention and repair.
I urge the officials concerned to take note of this issue and take measures to repair or lay new ones at the earliest.
