As part of World Senior Citizens Day, the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens has invited entries from individuals and organisations who are serving in various fields to confer State Award. Citizens, who have excelled in the fields of Education, Literature, Arts, Law, Sports, welfare of senior citizens etc., and organisations working for the welfare of senior citizens are eligible to apply. There are 6 Individual awards and 1 Institutional award.
The eligible individuals / organisations can obtain the prescribed application form from the Department office located on Pulikeshi Road in Tilaknagar and submit the filled-in forms, along with all supporting documents, before Aug. 31. For details, contact Ph: 0821- 2490333.
