Mysuru: The State BJP Core Committee Meeting was held at a hotel on Hunsur Road in city yesterday evening. The meeting held soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s departure from the city, has assumed significance, in the wake of forthcoming Assembly polls, which is just a couple of months away.
The meeting is said to have discussed strategies on popularising the NDA Government’s programmes and policies, schemes and initiatives and also on taking on Chief Minister Siddharamaiah in his home turf.
It is also said to have strategised on highlighting the State Govt’s corruptions, scams and irregularities during the course of the party’s electoral campaign in the run up to the polls.
State BJP President and former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa presided over the meeting.
BJP National Gen. Secretary and State party in-charge Muralidhar Rao, Union Ministers D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Prakash Javadekar and H.N. Ananth Kumar, MP Shobha Karandlaje, MLAs Aravind Limbavali, R. Ashok and Govind M. Karjol, State Organising Secretaries N. Ravi Kumar and Arun Kumar took part in the meeting that went on for three hours, it is learnt.
