Mysore/Mysuru: The Executive Committee meeting of State BJP OBC (Other Backward Classes) Morcha will take place at V.K. Function Hall in the city on Dec.16.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, State BJP OBC Morcha President N.L. Narendra Babu said that State BJP Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel will inaugurate the meet at 9.30 am in the presence of Mysuru District In charge Minister S.T.Somashekar and other top BJP leaders. Prior to the meeting, the office-bearers of the Morcha will meet at 7 pm on Dec.15 at the same venue.
Maintaining that the Other Backward Classes constitute more than 50 percent of the State’s population, he said that the BJP was committed for the welfare of backward classes.
The Executive Committee meeting will discuss a host of issues concerning backward classes and the resolutions passed at the meeting will be forwarded to the Government for consideration, he said.
The meeting will also discuss in depth the schemes and initiatives extended by the State and Central Governments for OBCs, he added.
Morcha Vice-President Govindaraju said that the Morcha has been working towards ensuring that even the last person in the society gets Government benefits. The Executive Committee will come up with plans on housing, hostels, academic facilities and such other needs of OBCs, which will be forwarded to the Government, he pointed out.
