Bengaluru: The State Government has established a Foundation in the name of littérateur late Dr. K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi and has also constituted a Committee in that context headed by former MLC B.L. Shankar.
The Government has also indicated the Department of Kannada and Culture to release funds to the new Foundation as being done for other Trusts.
The Department Director N.R. Vishukumar had appealed the Government to establish a Foundation in memory of Tejaswi who was a crusader for environment protection.
The Foundation envisages study of Tejaswi’s life, writings and thoughts, awareness programmes on environment protection along with converting Tejaswi’s house into a museum.
