Mysuru: The State Government will soon sanction Kanaka Bhavan for city. This was disclosed by District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa after inaugurating the stage programme organised by District Administration at Kalamandira here yesterday to mark 530th Kanakadasa Jayanti.

Dr. Mahadevappa said that the matter would be discussed with the Chief Minister and asked officials to identify a suitable land for construction of Kanaka Bhavan.

Referring to the allegations of a section of the society that Siddharamaiah was a casteist and anti-Dalit, Mahadevappa simply denied such baseless charges and averred that the Chief Minister had floated so many social benefit schemes for all communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait opined that any Jayanti should not be restricted to a community but observed by all. He  assured assistance for Kanaka Guru Peetha of Kaginele to establish a school.

Dy. Chairman of Legislative Council Marithibbegowda, MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar, DC. D. Randeep and others were present.
