State Handball Championship for Juniors: City’s Academy of Handball Excellence finishes third

Mysuru’s Handball Club Academy of Handball Excellence, J.P. Nagar, taking part in the 17th U-19 Junior State Handball Championship at Udupi won the third place in the championship.

The tournament was conducted by the Udupi District Handball Association under the aegis of  the Karnataka Handball Association at Udupi from Jan. 18 to Jan. 20.

Trainees of Academy of Handball Excellence (AHE) JP Nagar participated in the tournament and secured the third place.

In the match for the third place AHE beat Belagavi District Handball Association 21-9. In the semi-finals, Mandya District Handball Association beat AHE 25-24. In the quarter-finals, AHE beat Mysore District Handball Association 17-14.

In the league matches, AHE Mysore beat Bagalkot District 26-14, beat Haveri district 30-3, beat Hassan District 23-14 and beat Dharwad District 27-12.
