Mysuru: Under the aegis of Computer Society of India [CSI], Mysore Chapter, a one-day Karnataka State-level CSI Student Branch Counsellors Meet was organised in city recently.
Professors designated as CSI student branch counsellors from various Engineering Colleges from across the State like Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology Management, RNSIT, BMSIT&M, SIR MVIT from Bengaluru, KLS GOGTE Institute from Belagavi, BITM College from Ballari, BGSIT from BG Nagar, Pooja Bhagavat PG Centre and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam from Mysuru had participated.
Student representatives from local Engineering Colleges like ATME, NIE, NIEIT, GSSSIETW too participated in the activities.
State Student Coordinator K.A. Anitha Venkatesh briefed about the objectives of the meet and various activities like symposiums, workshops, seminars, product exhibitions, technical competitions that can be conducted at the College, State, Regional and International-levels. Also guidelines regarding the formalities to be followed for seeking the technical and financial support from the national body to conduct conventions were provided.
The participants were informed to nominate for various awards constituted for the student branch members and counsellors which would be presented during the 53rd CSI Annual Convention to be held at KiiT, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha during January 2020.
Mysore Chapter Chairperson Aruna Devi presided. Former Chairmen B.S. Vishwanath Rao, Prof. M.S. Veerendra Kumar, Hon. Secretary J.G. Venaktesh, Vice-Chairman Prof. Mohamed Minhaj and MC member J.V. Shrivatsa were present.
