State-level cultural prog. for visually-challenged

Divya Jyothi Charitable Trust has been organising cultural events every year to provide an opportunity to differently-abled children and youth to exhibit their talents. This year, the Trust is organising a State-level cultural programme on Mar. 5. Over 100 visually-impaired persons are expected to participate.

Competitions will be held in the following categories: • Patriotic  group  songs; • Folk group  songs; • Laavani group songs; • Bajan group songs; • Lite music (Bhavageete) for solo male and female. All events except the last one will be open for groups only, consisting of 4 to 10 members.  Each team will be allotted a maximum time of 40 minutes depending on the number of event/s they are going to present. All items must be accompanied by instruments.

Each team is allowed to bring only one escort, if it is girl participants in the team they can bring one lady escort and travelling allowance will be given to escorts. Food and accommodation will be provided to participants and their escorts from Mar. 4 (4 pm) to  Mar. 6 (10 am).

Winning   teams will be given prizes and allowances. Judge’s decision is final. Prog. will start at 9 am and will end at 5 pm.
