State-level painting contest for students on Aug.11

Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike, P.R. Thippeswamy Pratishtana and Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota have jointly organised a State-Level Painting Competition for school and college students on Aug.11, to commemorate the birthday of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah. The competition will be held at Suchitra Art Gallery in Kalamandira premises in the city. An exhibition of paintings by artists including P.R. Thippeswamy has also been organised on occasion.

The competitions will begin at 11 am and entry is free for the participants.

The Competitions will be held under three categories. Topic for students from 3rd to 6th standard will be ‘Environment Conservation’, for 7th to 10th standard, PUC and Degree students, the topic will be ‘Programmes of the State Government’.

First prize of Rs.7,000, second prize of Rs.5,000 and third prize of Rs.3,000 will be given for all the three categories along with certificates. In addition, 10 consolation prizes (only certificates) will be given.

The students are required to bring their own painting materials  and only paper will be provided by the organisers. Schools and Colleges, who wish to send their students for the competition can send the names of their students written in the letter head of the respective institutions to Mobile Number: 97437-77471. Students can also register their names at the venue.
