City’s veteran table Tennis players Dr. Sainath Iyer (men’s 70 plus) and K.V. Krishnamurthy (men’s 75 plus) went down in the semi-finals men’s singles event in their respective categories in the State Veteran’s Table Tennis Tournament held at Bengaluru recently.
In the men’s 70 plus category, K.A. Udayshankar of Bengaluru beat Dr. Sainath Iyer (Mysuru) 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, 11-3 in the semi-finals. In the men’s 75 plus singles S. Gopalan of Bengaluru got the better of Mysuru’s K.V. Krishnamurthy 11-7, 14-12, 4-11, 11-7 to enter the title round.
