To seek repealment of Anti-farmer Laws
Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking repeal of amendments to Land Reforms Act, APMC Amendment Act and Anti-Cow Slaughter Act which were introduced by the BJP Government, the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) will hold a ‘Raitagraha’ stir in front of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Offices in all districts of the State on June 15.
Announcing this at a press meet here recently, KRRS President Badagalapura Nagendra said that the farmers would hold a Statewide stir from 11 am to 1 pm in front of the DC Offices on that day to press the Government for repealing the three Acts, which are detrimental to the interests of the farmers. During the stir, a letter will be shot off to the Chief Minister (CM) demanding framing of farmer-friendly policies.
He further said that both CM Siddharamaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, who had strongly opposed the Acts when they were in the Opposition, should now show commitment and take immediate measures for repealment of the Anti-farmer Laws.
KRRS office-bearers Netravathi, Naganahalli Vijayendra, Mandakalli Mahesh, Virupaksha and others were present.
