Sthanakvasi Chaturmaas in city

Mysuru: – The discourses by Jain Saints Dr. Sri Samakitmuniji Maharaj, Sri Bhavaantmuniji Maharaj and Sri Jayavantmuniji Maharaj, as part of the Chaturmaas, is being held at Sri Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh, 3rd Cross, Halladakeri in city.

The Chaurmaas, which commenced on July 27, will conclude on Nov. 22.

During Chaturmaas, a special discourse has been organised daily between 9 am and 10 am by Dr. Sri Samakitmuniji Maharaj on day-to-day life adding spirituality and moral in the subject.

Dr. Sri Samakitmuniji Maharaj said that one who wants to live his life peacefully should keep the heart big, keep the mind cool, keep the speech sweet, keep the  expectations less and forget that should be forgotten.

Speaking about Vaastu Shastra, the Monk said that respecting elders in house is Poorva Disha Vaastu, caring our kins is Pashchima Disha Vaastu, praying to God and serving Saints and Monks were Uttar Disha Vaastu and looking after our dependants and staff is Dakshina Disha Vaastu.  One who follows these in good way will certainly lead a healthy, wealthy and peaceful life, he added.

Sri Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh President B.A. Kailashchand Jain giving a brief note of Chaturmaas said that disciples across the country were attending and listening to these discourses daily along with over 500 people from local society. Secretary Susheel Nandavath said that many people were observing fast during Chaturmaas and added that Samuhik Tela community observed fast on July 26, 27 and 28 in which around 325 people observed fast and consumed only boiled water for 90 hours.

Sri Sthanakvasi Jain Yuva Sanghatan President Rajan Baghmar said that more than 100 youths are participating daily in Samakit Ke Sang Yuva Jamayenge Samayik Ka Rang, a spiritual programme from July 27 to Sept. 13.

Members of Sri Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh, all Yuva Sanghatans and Mahila Sanghatans of Sthanakvasi Jain Samaj are participating in Chaturmaas programmes co-ordinated by Treasurer Rajendrakumar Bhansali, Vice-President Mangilal Choradiya, Joint Secretary Dharmchand Nandavath, Yuva Sanghatan Vice-President Manohar Sankhala, Secretary Rakesh Bantia, Joint Secretary Rajendra Desarla and Sri Sthanakvasi Shikshan Sangh President Budhmal Baghmar.
