The recently concluded Ayudha Puja festival has left behind a sore sight and stinks on most of the footpaths with the sellers of Plantain stems and Mango leaves dumping the unsold items as it is and where it is. The sight was awful to say the least.
The MCC Zonal officials should collect refundable ‘Caution Money Deposit’ from them and return the same after ensuring the unsold items are cleared off the footpaths and dumped at the appropriate place suggested by MCC. If not followed, forfeit the amount and give the same to the Pourakarmikas who are burdened with extra load of work. This will go a long way in avoiding messy footpaths.
