Stop indiscriminate dumping of debris on road sides

Sir,

City road sides have become dumping ground for all sorts of garbage and debris. Majority of the tractors that roam in the city limits carry loads of waste materials which they dump on the road side without any hesitation, fear of MCC authorities or concern for public health.

The above photo was taken on the stretch from Lalitha Mahal Road to Helipad. People who go for regular morning walk have to cover their nose as the stench from the road side dump disturbs and sometimes nauseates to say the least.

This is supposed to be a road frequented by VIPs and VVIPs either to land or depart from this Helipad. In addition, trucks from other States can be seen frequently carrying all sorts of waste materials under the garb of industrial raw materials which they dump regularly. Such things not only spoil the beautiful city but also create health issues for the road-users.

It appears, Mysuru city has become a place to dump anything and everything under the very nose of civic authorities. Citizens wonder when these authorities wake-up from their long slumber and show some concern for the city which is vying for the ‘Cleanest City’ tag !
