Sir,
I go for a walk very frequently at the Kukkarahalli Lake since a few years. I wish to point out that in recent times I have observed people misusing the Lake premises by throwing garbage at multiple places which is reaching the water and also directly into the Lake.
Is it time for us to be alarmed now or wait for further damage to the nature and also the wildlife thriving quietly at the Lake? Who is responsible for this and why no corrective measures have been taken yet?
It is really sad to see and experience this and also the indifferent attitude of the people and disrespect the very sign out at one of the entrance gates “Keep the Lake Clean.” Who is supposed to man this at the Lake? Why not come up with more dustbins or impose a fine for whoever litters the Lake inside?
It will be really sad to see this beautiful Lake slowly give in to human indirections. I hope there is some action towards maintaining this Lake’s cleanliness intact as a sign of respect towards nature and wildlife as part of this enchanting city.
