Stop using mobile phone while driving

File Photo

Sir,

Using mobile phone while driving is more dangerous than not wearing seat belt, as the former may cause harm to other road users, while the latter may hurt  self.

Use of mobile phone while driving has become a routine feature by riders of either two-wheelers or four-wheelers in the city.  Though this is brought to the notice of the concerned no change in motorists is seen in the city.

The photo taken very recently at K.R. Circle, city’s most busiest area, where pedestrians are not bothered about the vehicle movement while crossing the road, is a clear evidence of this. Thus they are not only violating the road safety rule but also risking the lives of other road users. Sense of road safety should come from within as strict enforcement by Traffic Police may not be possible 24×7.
