Mysore/Mysuru: The officials of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) with the help of N.R. Traffic Police have caught stray cattle that were obstructing smooth flow of traffic and causing accidents in city.
Following complaints that the stray cattle were causing problems near St. Joseph’s School in Bannimantap and near Subashnagar on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road, N.R. Traffic Inspector Diwakaragowda and staff conducted an inspection yesterday and found that cattle owners at N.R. Mohalla, Kesare and Rajendranagar had let their cattle roam freely on the roads leading to accidents also.
The Police summoned the MCC’s Abhaya team along with their vehicle, caught the stray cattle and shifted them. Cattle owners, who learnt that their cattle have been caught, rushed to the MCC Zonal Office near FTS Circle, where they paid the fine and got their cattle released.
The MCC officials warned the cattle owners of registering a case, if they left their cattle on the roads.
