Stray cattle on Ring Road

Sir,

This is to bring to the notice of officials concerned that many stray cattle are found grazing on the median of the Ring Road, especially on the stretch from Bogadi Junction to Hotel Royal Inn Junction.

This stretch of the road houses many colleges, connects to industries, software companies and hospitals. Hence, it is always a busy road compared to other stretches on Ring Road.

These cattle casually walk on to the busy Ring Road either while grazing or to cross roads and cause serious threat to the two-wheeler and four-wheeler motorists.

It is very difficult for motorists to avoid bumping into them and manoeuvre the vehicles at the same time, especially during the peak hours.

A few days back, two girls riding on a scooter had to inevitably hit a cow that jumped onto the road. If the girls had tried to avoid, it would be hit by the entailing vehicles. Luckily they did not end up with any serious injuries to self or others.

School and College buses carrying precious lives also are exposed to this peril. I request the concerned to take action in this regard and make driving more safe for the motorists.
