Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police, as part of the 30th National Road Safety Week, which is being observed from Feb. 4 to 10 with the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha-Jeevan Raksha’ had organised a street play to create awareness on traffic rules in city yesterday.
The street play was staged by the students of Rangayana at Mathrumandali Circle coming under V.V. Puram Traffic Police from 10 am to 11 am.
The students created awareness on the ill effects of drunken driving, speaking on mobile phone while driving/riding besides sending a message to the public to help accident victims through the street play.
A large number of school children and the public witnessed the street play, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer, City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
