Street vendors urge Minister not to evict shops atop Ch.Hill

Mysore/Mysuru: A delegation of street vendors, who are having their shops atop Chamundi Hill, met Social Welfare and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa at his Vijayanagar residence and requested him to instruct the officials not to evict their shops.

The street vendors met the Minister in the wake of recent orders passed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. K.V. Rajendra to evict the roadside shops.

Dr. Mahadevappa, responding to requests, called the DC and instructed him not evict the shops until an alternative arrangement was made for the street vendors atop the Hill.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Member Nazarbad Nataraj, Varuna Mahadev, Chethan Alanahalli,  Manjula Manjunath and others were present.
