Mysuru: A student died after falling from the second floor balcony of her flat in an apartment building near Highway Circle on New Sayyaji Rao Road in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased girl is Anika Ilayi (20), a final year B.Com student at a private college in city. It is suspected that the girl may have slipped on the wet surface of the balcony and fell down resulting in her death.
Anika’s parents saw her studying at about 1 am and then went to sleep. The incident is said to have taken place between 1 am and 2 am. Though Anika was rushed to K.R. Hospital immediately, the doctors declared her dead.
Mandi Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
