Student issues: AIDSO to observe student protest day tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly opposing the Government’s decision to conduct previous Semester exams for Degree, Engineering, Diploma and PG Degree students amid the COVID crisis as unscientific  and illogical, the All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) will stage a Statewide student protest day tomorrow (June 23) against the Government’s decision and over other student issues.

AIDSO State Secretary B.J. Subash said that a recent online survey has shown that a majority of students were opposed to online exams of previous semester.

Pointing out that even semester online classes have already begun, he said that internal assessment tests too have been conducted in most colleges. In this backdrop the Government’s decision to hold the previous semester exams (Odd) amidst the ongoing online classes for the running  semester, is nothing but arbitrary, unscientific and illogical.

As such, the students are forced to observe a student protest day tomorrow (June 23) in order to draw the attention of the Government to their plight, Subash said and added that the protest will also highlight other student issues.
