Mysore/Mysuru: A 21-year-old student was killed after ramming the bike he was riding into a gate of a house at Kanakadasa Nagar in city on Apr. 17 night. His friend, who was riding pillion, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city.
While the deceased has been identified as H.G. Yashwanth, a native of Kavalatti village in Chitradurga district, who was pursuing his studies at a private college in city, his injured friend is S. Koushik, a native of Shivamogga, who is also pursuing his education in city.
On Apr. 17 at about 10.20 pm, Yashwanth, along with his friend Koushik, were on a Bajaj Pulsar bike (KA-09-HP-0551) and when they were proceeding on the 3rd Cross in Kanakadasa Nagar 3rd Stage, 3rd Main Road, Yashwanth lost control of the bike and rammed into the gate of the house belonging to one B.L. Manju. Due to the impact, the gate broke and the bike hit the iron safety door of the house. As Yashwanth’s head crashed into the iron safety door, he sustained severe head injuries and Koushik too sustained injuries.
Though the Police shifted Koushik to a private Hospital and Yashwanth to K.R. Hospital, Yashwanth breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
