Mysuru: Economics Post-Graduate wing of Maharani’s Arts College in association with Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK) had organised an Entrepreneurship Motivation Programme at the college premises here on Tuesday.
The PG Economics students who participated in the programme were groomed on entrepreneurship skills. Later, they were also taken for a visit to various factories.
Inaugurating the programme, CEDOK Joint Director M. Manjunatha Swamy observed that everyone graduating from a college cannot get a job. He hence suggested students to develop entrepreneurship skills to become self-employed. He said that the Government had launched ‘Disha,’ a programme exclusively to assist budding entrepreneurs in addition to the Department of Skill Development. However, he opined that an entrepreneur should make enough market study before venturing into a project as good marketing skills were essential to sustain any venture.
The students were thoroughly groomed by Resource Persons B.A. Virupaksha and Hithasri H. Ram from CEDOK and ‘Disha’ Mysuru respectively. College Principal C.H. Prakash presided.
