Students observe ‘Pratigna Divas’ against attack on West Bengal students

Mysuru: Strongly condemning the assault on protesting Jadavpur University students by the West Bengal  Government, students under the banner of AIDSO observed ‘Akhila Bharat Pratigna Divas’ at Maharaja’s and Yuvaraja’s Colleges in city on Monday.

Alleging that the West Bengal Education Minister attempted to run over some students who were on protest at Jadavpur University campus demanding holding of student body election, the protestors demanded punishment to the perpetrators and an end to corruption in the University campus. They also condemned the goonda acts by TMC goons and the high-handedness of West Bengal Police.

The AIDSO observed the day in city following a Statewide college and university boycott call by its West Bengal State Unit.
