Mysuru: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Mysuru Chapter, had organised an educative programme for the benefit of Commerce students at Sarada Vilas College of Commerce and JSS Women’s College in Saraswathipuram recently. More than 200 students participated.
The Chairman of the Mysuru Chapter of ICAI M. Ashok Kumar and R. Ravi, College Coordinator, addressed the students about the Cost and Management Accountants (CMA) course.
Dr. PVS Jagan Mohan Rao, President-South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA-An Apex Body of SAARC), was the guest of honour.
SAFA is an Apex Body of SAARC, where the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of South Asia, are Members.
Dr. Jagan Mohan Rao elaborated on the scope and opportunities of doing CMA course and its future prospects.
In the changing global business economic development, CMAs play a vital role either in practise or in employment, he said.
SAFA President also interacted with B.S. Parthasarathy (President) and Dr. Sathyanarayana (Dean) of Sarada Vilas College and Dr. K.V. Suresha, Principal of JSS College for Women.
