Students should develop a scientific mindset in early age

Mysore/Mysuru: Maintaining that students should develop a scientific mindset during their school days itself, BEO Vivekananda said that scientific and intellectual thoughts will help in personality development.

He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Anaavarana’, a science expo organised at Rotary Midtown Academy at Hootagalli on Hunsur road here on Monday (Nov. 20).

Pointing out that students should be inquisitive and must not accept everything without questioning, Vivekananda said that students should be probing and give importance to scientific and practical learning. Observing that students should be wary of those who try to misuse their innocence, he called upon the students to be scientific and give importance to intellectualism.

Basavamarga Foundation Founder Basavaraju said that students should bring a good name to their parents and the school where they studied. Noting that every student has one or the other talent, he called upon the students to use every opportunity that come in their way.  Yoga teacher H.P. Naveen Kumar too spoke.

The expo featured scientific models and practical experiments on topics such as Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Technology, Chandrayaan-3 etc., Rotary Midtown President  Alagappan, Secretary Ramakrishna, Treasurer Umesh, Principal Atmananda, school headmistresses Sarala and Niveda and others were present.
