Mysuru: Meaningful messages on gender equality, ill effects of smartphones, protection and conservation of forests etc. were given by the students of various schools and colleges during the cultural show on the concluding day of Star of Mysore Education Fair last evening.
While the students of Vidya Vikas Education Trust performed a dance feature with a message to give opportunities to girls and women to excel and not to discriminate between boys and girls, the students of Mount Litera Zee School, performed a mime show, spreading the message on the ill effects of smartphones.
Dressed in green, the students of Navkis, who performed a dance gave the audience the message on the importance of nature, forests and its conservation and protection for the future.
While the students of Jnanasarovara International Residential School depicted the natural disasters at Kodagu and Kerala through their dance, the students of Sheshadripuram College performed dance to the song Ganapathi Bappa Moriya. The students of Ideal jawa Rotary School, East West School, Kangaroo Kids and Christ School also performed dance on the occasion.
The students of NPS walked the ramp at the fashion show which attracted a large number of audience.
Cine actor: Kavaludari Kannada movie actress Roshini Prakash took part in the event and danced with the children to encourage them. She lauded the organisers for conducting the cultural events apart from creating a platform for students to exhibit their talents at the Education Fair for better education opportunities of students.
Recalling her student days, she said there was no much platform for the students to exhibit their talents when she was studying engineering in city. Though she was born and brought up in Mysuru and studied engineering, she said that she carved her niche in the cinema field.
