Mysore/Mysuru: Urging the State Government to provide bus pass facility to house maids/domestic workers, the activists of Socialist Unity Centre of India ( SUCI-Communist) submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through Officers of Labour Department.
Over 25 maid servants together with members of SUCI, who met the officials said, “Following Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, we are facing financial difficulties. Before lockdown, we used to get bus pass facility. Lockdown has been relaxed now, but still Transport Department is not issuing bus passes because of which we are having transportation issues as we have to travel to distant places in the city.” They urged CM Yediyurappa to issue an order to provide bus pass facility to maid servants.
