Mysuru: Activists of Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) — SUCI(C) — staged a protest at Gandhi Square in the city on Friday, condemning the atrocities being committed against the Hindus in Bangladesh and demanding to curtail communal forces in our country.
The protesters said, the Hindus, who are in minority numbers in Bangladesh, are being targeted in a inhumane manner. Hindus had participated in Bangladesh Liberation Movement and Government of India had also extended its support to Bangladesh. Now, taking advantage of the political turmoil in that country, the communal forces there are targeting the Hindus.
In India too, the communal forces are unleashing atrocity, with BJP and Sangh Parivars instigating them, challenging the law & order situation in country.
The action should be taken to restore peace in both the country and the troubles being faced by common man and minorities should be stopped, to create a harmonious situation in the country, they demanded.
SUCI(C) District Secretary B. Ravi, leaders Umadevi, Chandrashekar Meti, P.S. Sandhya, Yashodhar, G.S. Seema, Harish, Sunil, Basavaraju, Suma, Chandrakala and Asia Begum were present.
