Mysore/Mysuru: Sugama Sangeetha Workshop is organised under the auspices of Mysore Ana-nthaswamy Me-morial Trust in city on July 8 and 9.
Supriya Raghunandan from Bengaluru will be conducting the music workshop.
Supriya Raghunandan, a student of Raju Ananthaswamy, is a well-known name in the field of Sugama Sangeetha. She has learnt Karnatak vocal under the tutelage of Vidwan Tirumale Srinivas and Hindustani vocal with Pandit Parameshwar Hegde.
Supriya teaches Sugama Sangeetha at her school Suraaghavi Foundation, Bengaluru. She has also co-founded Suraaghavi Studios along with husband, flautist and Music Director Raghunandan Ramakrishna.
Supriya has given a number of programmes, both in India and abroad. She has shared stage with legends like Dr. C. Ashwath, Dr. S. P. Balasubramaniam, Raju Ananthaswamy, Vani Jairam, P. Susheela and many more.
Supriya has also anchored the music reality show Saptaswara on Kasturi Channel and she has been a Mentor for Zee Kannada show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The title track ‘Nee Amruthadhare’ for the movie Amruthadhare was sung by her. She has sung for numerous TV serials like Kicchu, Maneyondhu Muru Baagilu, Raadhe, Kannadi Illada Mane and many more.
Supriya has been a national award winner from AIR in Sugama Sangeetha Category (2003), Radio Mirchi Awards for Best Playback Singer for movie Rangitaranga – for the song Dennana Dennana, ACT Television Award – Best Female Singer for serial title song Maneyondhu Muru Baagilu.
