All law-abiding citizens whole-heartedly appreciate the measures taken by Mysuru Police in law enforcement through counselling, punishment or fines to make the society disciplined, to instil fear in the minds of offenders and to put them on right track for their own welfare and also for drastically bringing down crime and accidents rate.
In many junctions helpful buzzers for pedestrian crossings are introduced. I request the authorities concerned to make arrangements to give a beep sound when the signal turns green so that vehicles can proceed after hearing the same.
Now-a-days motorists almost come in the way of law-abiding vehicles crossing the zebra mark and hampering the movement of hapless pedestrians much before the signal turns green or even jump the signal.
The Police and Home Guards on traffic duty can also save their breath for whistling and concentrate on traffic offenders at junctions by noting down or photographing the vehicle numbers of erring drivers.
