Syed Shamiulla (41), who had attempted suicide by consuming poison on Monday last following harassment by money lenders, breathed his last at K.R. Hospital in city this morning.
A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station in this regard. It is learnt that, Shamiulla, who was working in a Silk showroom in city had taken Rs. 2.8 lakh loan from the owner of the Silk showroom but had failed to repay it back, following which the owner of the Silk showroom used to come to Shamiulla’s house and harass him for money besides allegedly threatening to kidnap his (Shamiulla) daughter whose marriage was scheduled in a month’s time.
Following the harassment, Shamiulla had attempted suicide last Monday and had also written a death note in this regard.
Shamiulla, who was admitted to K.R. Hospital, breathed his last this morning after failing to respond to the treatment.
