Sulwadi Maramma Temple Poisoning Case: Advocate files petition to drop Immadi Mahadevaswamy from the case

Chamarajanagar: The advocate representing Immadi Mahadevaswamy, the prime accused in Sulwadi Maramma Temple Poisoning Case, has filed a petition at the Chamarajanagar Principal District and Sessions Court yesterday to drop Mahadevaswamy from the case.

Advocate Vishwanath, who is representing Mahadevaswamy in the case, has stated in the petition that there was no proof to state that Mahadevaswamy was involved in poisoning the prasadam and hence drop all the cases filed against him.

With the judicial custody of all the four accused — Immadi Mahadevaswamy, Ambika, Madesh and Doddaiah — ending yesterday, they were brought to the Chamarajanagar Court from Mysore Central Prisons amidst tight Police security.

Meanwhile, Public Prosecutor Lolakshi urged the Court for some time to file objections to which Judge G. Basavaraj instructed the Public Prosecutor to file objections before Aug.8.

As the advocate of Ambika, Madesh and Doddaiah was not present, the Judge extended the judicial custody of all the accused till Aug.19.
