Mysore/Mysuru: Sumanth Manjunath, a young violinist from Mysuru, is all set to enthral music lovers in Europe during his maiden violin solo concert tour from Oct.15 to Dec. 12.
Son and disciple of the renowned Violin Maestro Dr. Mysore Manjunath, Sumanth has already performed extensively in Europe along with his father. This time he is invited to perform in Europe at various prestigious venues and Universities in Germany, Netherlands, UK, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal. He will be performing 18 concerts.
Talented artiste Yashwanth Hampiholi will be on the mridanga support.
Sumanth is also performing a few experimental fusion concerts with eminent Western Classical Musicians Julius Gabriel, Giuliano Modarelli and Dr. Alice Barron this time.
Highlights of his concert tour are the important concerts and workshops at the prestigious Oxford University & Cambridge University, Special concerts at the Indian Embassy in the Netherlands, Workshop at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in London, Special concert at Sri Raghavendraswamy Math in Slough-UK, Geneva Cultural Centre, Congregational church in Germany and European Jazz music Festival in Portugal.
Sumanth, hailing from the family of great musicians, is taking forward the legacy of Mysore music tradition.
